Weavers of the Moonfire hosts numerous events throughout the year that are open. These include teaching workshops and selected sabbatt rituals. The events listed below are only a subset of available activities. We also occasionally hold joint events with other covens of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel, and members of Moonfire participate in larger Assembly events that are open and are posted on the main website. 2012 Events (some are open, some by invitation):
February 12 - Brigid Ritual. 3:00 pm. To celebrate Imbolg, listen to the words of Brigid for healing and inspiration! This event will be by invitation only held near Abington, PA.
March 31 - Spring Magick/Cernunnos, Peace Center, Media. This Assembly of the Sacred Wheel event will be a day-long workshop of classes, followed by the Cernunnos ritual. Moonfire will participate. For more info, contact Carm or follow updates on the ASW events page.
May 6 - Beltaine Ritual. Spring Greetings! Moonfire welcomes you to join us in our annual open Beltaine celebration at Ridley Creek State Park at 1:00 pm. Come and dance the Maypole, listen to the sage words of Flora and Bel, bless the Waters of Inspiration and New Life with the May Queen and King! Come feast with Moonfire and friends as we turn the Wheel once again!
June 23 - Litha Ritual. A Solstice celebration held at a private location near Media, PA, time TBD. This event will be by invitation only and held near Media, PA.
July 28 - Lammas Ritual. Moonfire will be joining with Oak and Willow (another ASW coven) to begin the harvest sabbat series at the Peace Center in Delaware County, time TBD. By invitation.
September 22 - Mabon Ritual. Take a trip as Persephone to the Underworld and heed the words of Hades and Demeter. To be held near Abington at 4:00 pm. by invitation.
December 13-16 - Between the Worlds. Held only every 3-4 years when the astrology is favorable, this exciting 4 day conference on pagan spirituality provides a diverse platform of top tier national speakers, classes, and transformative rituals that defy description. There is something here for everyone, ranging from root to intellectual matters. Not to be missed, this open event will be held in Wilmington, DE.
