CLS Sigil Chalice of Living Stars 17 The Star

Welcome

The Chalice of Living Stars is a coven being formed in the tradition of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. Chalice of Living Stars will be the eighth coven in the Assembly, and is being formed by Helena Domenic, one of the two Elders in the Assembly. This coven will have an emphasis on Seership, Healing, and Creativity. The location of the coven and its activities will focus around Chester County, PA.

We plan to hold our first event to celebrate the Winter Solstice and also to act as a Meet-n-Greet to learn more about the coven, details of time and place to be announced soon. A thirteen week Wicca 101 course will ensue, in which potential members can learn more about Wicca and the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. After that time, applications for membership will be taken.

Who and What is the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel?

The Assembly of the Sacred Wheel is a legally recognized Wiccan non-profit religious organization based in the Mid-Atlantic region. The form of Wicca that the Assembly practices is syncretic and draws inspiration from Astrology, Qabala, the Western Magickal Tradition and the folk religions of Europe. Keepers of the Holly Chalice, the founding coven of the Assembly began its life in February of 1984. The Assembly was incorporated in the state of Delaware in 1993 and was granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS in 1995.

Why a Chalice of Living Stars?

The Assembly of the Sacred Wheel is astrologically based in its structure. There are twelve Circles within the Assembly, one for each of the signs. Each Circle contains within it four Covens. Each Coven bears one of the elemental tools (east/air/sword, south/fire/staff, west/water/chalice, north/earth/pentacle).

As the eighth Assembly coven to come into existence, Chalice of Living Stars takes the Chalice as its elemental tool. The Chalice represents emotion, psychic work, healing, and creativity. The Living Stars refer to the Pleiades, the constellation also often known as the Seven Sisters, and is also an echo of the Star Goddess as well as a reminder that “everybody is a star.”
