DESCRIPTION:Courting the Divine Within – Chasing our higher self. \nCome circle with us as we chase the divine within ourselves\, seeking to unite our lower selves with our god-selves. As in myths immortal – the divine wooing of the evasive lover\, to be shown the path to success as the god and goddess unite — so too will we seek that which has eluded us within our god-like selves. After which\, we shall dance the May Pole for blessings on our work. \nCome bring your brightly colored ribbon (about 27 ft long)\, robes\, a dish of food for sharing after\, and a mirror you can hold in one hand easily for scrying. \nThis event is child-friendly  (as in G-rating).  A meditation will be part of the ritual. SUMMARY:Samhain Rite - Honoring the Beloved Dead
DESCRIPTION:Honoring the Beloved Dead \nJoin us in November as we celebrate Samhain\, the end of the witches’ year. The last of the bonefire sabbats\, as the harvest is finished and the earthen surface falls into sleep for the coming colder days ahead.  It is at this time when the Gods and our beloved dead are at their closest\, while the veils are thin.  It is a time to seek protection\, messages\, and auguries. \nWe traditionally gather between the calendar Samhain\, on October 31 and the astrological one\, on November 7th. The focus of the ritual is to honor the Ancestors and the Gods of old\, while sitting with them in sacred space. Harnessing the energy of the night\, we will work some spellcrafting as well to keep with us throughout the year. \nPlease bring ritual robes (if you have one) and food to share during the post ritual potluck.
