Meet the High Priest
Gaelan Brightflame, Jim Dickinson, is a Third degree initiate and one of the founding members of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. He was the founding High Priest of our mother coven, Coven of the Rowan Star, in 1992 and served in that role for 8 years. He is a trained Waterpourer and has lead sweat ceremony for over 10 years. He has offered classes throughout the east coast on subjects such as: writing effective ritual, starting new covens, aspecting/drawing down, psychic self-defense, magickal ethics, sweat ceremony, polyamoury, sacred sexuality, shamanism/journeying, and trance work.
Professionally, Jim has worked in the HIV prevention arena since 1988, as an activist, outreach worker, HIV counselor, contract manager, program developer, consultant, and currently as a HIV Prevention Program Administrator for Delaware's Division of Public Health, HIV/AID/STD program. He has a BA of Behavioral Science from Wilmington University and a Masters of Health Promotion from the University of Delaware.
Meet the High Priestess
Vanadisflame, Kitty Bronson, is a Second degree initiate of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel and has been a member of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel since 1998. She moved to Delaware from Philadelphia where she was a member of another ASW coven, Weavers of the Moonfire. Kitty is a trained Fire Tender for Sweat Lodge. She has the honor of serving as Fire Tender for the ASW Lodges at Seelie Court and for the Water Pourer when they travel. She views Fire Tending as a service to the community, and as such, has served as a Head Fire Tender at Free Spirit Gathering for several years. Kitty's main focus is on the Norse, runes and Seidhr work. She is working to become a Spaekona and is a dedicated Priestess of Freyja. Kitty works with many disciplines taught and used within the ASW, such as the Qabala, Aspecting, working with the elements, ritual writing and different forms of divination. She also runs the small traveling store that benefits the New Alexandrian Library.
Professionally, Kitty is an Administrative Assistant. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and hopes to pursue her masters in Anthropology and Religion. She owns her own craft business with her partner called Hawk & Stag. They make magickal tools, boxes, carved drinking horns, wood burned items and god and goddess statues. Along with Hawk & Stag, Kitty makes candles, both magickal and aromatherapy under the name Magickal Essence.
